Free NAR Home Ownership Webinar
In the past several months we've heard a drumbeat of negative editorials, columns, and media reports questioning the place of home ownership in our society and attacking government support of home ownership. To help you address this negative coverage, NAR is hosting a webinar next week, on Tuesday, in which NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun and housing analyst Howard Glaser will debunk the myths and share new research on home ownership.

The goal of the webinar is to help arm you with information on what is being said, what’s incorrect and what’s not, what the facts are, and government support of home ownership.

Sales and Showings UP!
Showings for September have hit a record high, beating out June, July and August! How are your showings? If they are non-existent or slow at best, I am going to ask that you connect with your Seller today or tomorrow to revisit comparable solds versus their current list price.

I would like you to also revisit their need to sell. If there need and urgency isn't equal to their reality for price and condition, you have a problem. I suggest you go back and ask the following questions...

• What will happen if your home doesn't sell?
• How will that impact you and your family?
• Are you committed to improve the condition of your home to equal the price you are asking for? (Consider previewing the competition together)
• If reducing the price was your only option to get your home sold, are you in the position to bring money to the closing?
• If you aren't, you may be in a short sale position or facing a potential foreclosure. Would you like to learn more about the process of a short sale and your options? I can help you with that.

Sales for Dane County residential 2nd quarter have returned to 2007 numbers in terms of units. Dane County had just over 1,600 sales Q2 2010. HOWEVER, we felt an extreme slow down for showings in July which resulted in low sales for the month of August. In 2010 we sold 410 units compared to over 600 in 2009.

So what is ahead for the 4th quarter of 2010? What should you be focused on? Are you committed to do what you need to do in order to thrive this final quarter?

During the month of October I am bringing the best of Mega Camp to you all. I want you to chose one particular area of lead generation that you are ready, willing and able to commit to full heartily for the final quarter of the year. I want to help you become very focused on mastering one area of your lead generation so that you are thriving fourth quarter. While many agents check out for the Realtor Holiday (Thanksgiving - New Years), I want you to make hay while the sun is shining. You deserve your unfair share of the market, and I am committe to help you take it.
