2011 Wisconsin Fair Housing Network’s Fair Housing Conference: Fair Housing, On the Right Track
The Crowne Plaza in Madison on April 28 & 29.
4/28: The traditional “town hall meeting” on the evening of the 28th include a free tailgate buffet and is open to everyone. A panel of local experts will discuss the status of fair housing as it impacts landlord/tenant relations in the Madison area. No reason to miss this one!
4/29:The full conference on the 29th includes some wonderful new topics addressing many of the challenges faced in today’s real estate market. These include community resources for building credit for homebuyers, new groups receiving attention as potential protected classes (LGBT, domestic violence victims, Section 8 vouchers), accommodating the hidden disabilities of the mentally challenged, and a final session addressing community fair housing solutions (tenants in foreclosure, land use and zoning for affordable housing, and Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing).
