WEST SIDE HIGH VOLTAGE POWER LINE INSTALLATION
American Transmission Co., is installing a 32-mile high-voltage power line that will extend from the eastern side of Dane County to Middleton, primarily along the Madison Beltline Highway. This work will impact High Point Office Park--location of KW Madison West and Homestead Title.

The first stage of this work will begin this week. Alliant Energy will be replacing the underground electric cable under the berm along the Beltline, adjacent to 3 Point Place. A boring rig will be set up, along with other required vehicles along the Beltline - right of way fence. A part of our parking lot will be used as a staging area for this work (see below). The crew will barricade the area the night before. We are told that the work will begin this week and should be done by week's end. The second step will be splicing the old and new cable together. This should be done the week of the May 29th. This step should not require staging in the parking lot. The crew will need to drive from the lot to the highway fence.
