Need to find home for two great cats.
Hello everyone,
My husband has just been diagnosed with asthma. He just can't breath and it is causing his lungs permenate damage. I have never in a million years thought that I would have to give up an animal but two of our cats need to find new homes.

Both kitties have their claws and are healthy. They are both littler box and scratching post trained. Echo is a beautiful tuxedo cat and she is a lap hog. She loves to cuddle on your lap if it is her idea. She doesn't like to have it forced on her. She gets along with dogs but doesn't really care for other cats. Some other cats she will hunt and torment. She gets along well with our other cat Heilo (orange long hair) who is just a big, beautiful lump. He really is a dumb cat. But he is so sweet and cuddely. You can do anything with this cat. My kids carry him around constantly. He is part Mein Coon so he talks a bit. Both of these kitties would be very good together or seperate. Heilo LOVES other cats but he is socially inept. Other cats think he is strange but he is just so loveable.

I really can't believe I have to do this, so please help me out and let me know if you or anyone you know would make a good home for these incredible little ones.

Thanks so much,
Lyschel

WRA Legal Hot Tip
Q. Personal property was left by the tenant. The landlord has an eviction and money judgment from the courts. Notice was given advising that the property being stored and that the former tenant could come get the property upon payment of the landlord’s costs for moving and storing the property. The tenant has not brought in the money needed to pick up the property. The landlord has been holding the property for over a month. Can the landlord dispose of the property?

A. A landlord has the right to store the property left on the premises by a departed tenant. The property may be stored on or off the premises. The landlord will have a lien on the property for the actual and reasonable costs of such removal and storage; or, if stored by landlord, for the actual and reasonable value of storage. The landlord's lien is superior to any security interest of a creditor of the tenant. The following procedures must be followed:

1. The landlord must give notice of the storage to the tenant within ten days after the storage charges commence. Notice may be given personally or by ordinary mail to the tenant's last known address.

2. The notice shall state the daily storage charges, and may not include any costs of damages to the premises or present or future rent.

3. The landlord must give notice of his intent to dispose of the property. If the tenant or a secured party fails to redeem the property within 30 days following such notice, the landlord may sell the property by public or private sale or other appropriate means. Notice may be given personally or by ordinary mail to the tenant's last known address.

4. The landlord must hold the proceeds of sale (less costs of sale and storage charges) for 60 days after the sale. If the net proceeds are not claimed within that time, the landlord must send them to the Wisconsin Department of Administration for use in homeless assistance programs.

These rules apply in the absence of any inconsistent provisions in the lease or rental agreement. Thus, the landlord and tenant may agree to an alternative lien agreement concerning the rights and duties for storage and disposition of the tenant's property. This lien agreement must appear in NONSTANDARD RENTAL PROVISIONS. Such agreement should clearly state whether net sale proceeds are payable to the State, the tenant or landlord.
